The CWH entry level police exam combines a straightforward cognitive ability measure of your Reading and Writing skills with Situational Judgment Tests (SJT) that measures traits like integrity, interpersonal skills, emotional stability, etc. Test time is 3 hours and 15 minutes plus 15 minutes for instructions.

There are two versions of the CWH exam used by agencies across the country. The legacy version is called CWH-SSLE for Selection Solutions for Law Enforcement. It includes math. The newer version is the CWH-NGLE (Next Generation) and does NOT include math. Otherwise the exams are the same.

The exam was originally developed by CWH Research but now is owned and distributed by I/O Solutions. It is going through a relabeling process and I predict that it will eventually be labeled the NGLE written exam by IOS.
